Abstract
The pumps are located in the Pumps room L102
The hydraulic pumps of the telescope are shut down in case of emergency (massive leak) or during maintenance operations.
3 pumps are used for the telescope's sustentation:
- The two high-pressure pumps, controlled by two Lenze controllers from the PLC in the TCP-L102 cabinet, powered by switches on the TEUPS in the computers room L105
- The circulation pump of the heat exchanger, without controller, is switched on when there is power in the cabinet by the TEUPS (same switches as the HP pumps). There is a switch in the cabinet TCP-L102 to turn off the power to the pump.
Emergency actions if you are in the station
You can throw any one of the four "mushroom button" for emergency stop ("coup de poing" in french) located in the station. Warning, it only cuts off the two high-pressure pumps, not the circulation pump. The nearest one is:
To switch off the power supply to the circulating pump, use the switch located in the TCP-L102:

The power in this cabinet is cut off by the TEUPS switches in the computer room:
Emergency actions if you are not in the station (remote,..)
Do a ssh on glslogin1.ls.eso.org and type
t120_power -off
Info: Stoping the two high pressure pumps through the touch screen

Remarks:
- Warning, Turning on the TEUPS will turn on the circulation pump. If the circulation pump is to remain switched off, it must be turn off with the cabinet switch TCP-L102 (see above).
- Using the emergency stop button will disable all the telescope and dome movements.
- Turn off the TEUPS, will disable all the telescope movements and also turn off the calibration lamp supply, guiding camera, etc ...
- After using an emergency button (when the situation returned to normal) you have to put it in its original position (rearm). Depending the model, you have to turn it or pull it.
- After using an emergency button you have to reset the safety on the touch screen. This reset does not restart the pumps.
