How is the emergency closure of the dome managed?
The weather data is recorded every minute by the weather service (service_meteo) on glsserv.
The control_meteo software checks this data every minute on glslogin1.
If the allowed safety values are exceeded, control_meteo orders the immediate closing of the dome.
Independently, the observation software read the status of the dome flaps and if:
- one of the both flaps is closing
- one of the both the switches limits of the side close is "ON"
the observation software refuses to launch an observation
If an exposure is in progress, this exposure is archived immediately.
