Type of object/type d'objet

Antiquity/antiquité
Any object or relic of cultural, historical, paleontological and ethnological interest belonging to or dating from ancient times (see, e.g., Article 1(a), (e) and (f) of the UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Cultural Property of 1970).

Tout objet d’intérêt culturel, historique, paléontologique ou ethnologique appartenant ou daté d’une époque ancienne (voir par exemple article 1 lettres a, e et f de la Convention UNESCO concernant les mesures à prendre pour interdire et empêcher l'importation, l'exportation et le transfert de propriété illicites des biens culturels de 1970).
Archaeological object/objet archéologique
Any product of “archaeological excavations (including regular and clandestine) or of archaeological discoveries” (see, e.g., Article 1(c) of the UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Cultural Property of 1970).

Tout produit résultant d’excavation archéologique régulière ou irrégulière ou provenant de découverte archéologique (voir par exemple article 1 let. c de la Convention UNESCO concernant les mesures à prendre pour interdire et empêcher l'importation, l'exportation et le transfert de propriété illicites des biens culturels de 1970).
Archive
A collection of documents concerning an individual, an institution or a State, that have been accumulated and selected for preservation on grounds of their cultural, historical or scientific value and uniqueness (see, e.g., Article 1(j) of the UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Cultural Property of 1970).

Collection de documents appartenant à un individu ou à une institution ou encore à l’Etat et qui a été collecté et conservé en regard de sa valeur ou de sa rareté culturel, historique ou scientifique (voir par exemple article 1 let. j de la Convention UNESCO concernant les mesures à prendre pour interdire et empêcher l'importation, l'exportation et le transfert de propriété illicites des biens culturels de 1970).
Artwork/oeuvre d’art
Any tangible creation of aesthetic, artistic, historical or religious interest as well as any element of artistic or historical monuments or archaeological sites which have been dismembered (see, e.g., Article 1(b),(d), (g), (h), (i) and (k) of the UNESCO Convention on the Means of Prohibiting and Preventing the Illicit Import, Export and Transfer of Cultural Property of 1970).

Tout objet tangible d’intérêt esthétique, artistique, historique ou encore cultuel, ainsi que tout élément  provenant d’un monument artistique ou historique et qui en a été démembré  (voir par exemple article 1 lettres b, d, g, h, i et k de la Convention UNESCO concernant les mesures à prendre pour interdire et empêcher l'importation, l'exportation et le transfert de propriété illicites des biens culturels de 1970).
Human remains/restes humains
Body or part of the body of a dead person.

Corps ou partie de corps d’une personne décédée.
Indigenous object/objet autochtone
Any instrument, object, artefact that has been crafted by autochthonous communities to be used in spiritual and religious rituals, customs and ceremonies (see, e.g., Articles 3(8), 5(3)(d) and 7(2) of the UNIDROIT Convention on Stolen or Illegally Exported Cultural Objects of 1995 and Articles 11 and 12 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples of 2007).

Tout instrument, objet, artefacts créés par des communautés autochtones et qui est utilisé dans des cérémonies spirituelles ou religieuse ou encore des coutumes (voir par exemple articles 3 al. 8 et 5 al. 3 let. d de la Convention Unidroit de 1995 sur les biens culturels volés ou illicitement exportés).
