Instrument being shipped to La Palma
After the system tests, the instrument is being packed and later shipped to La Palma.
The instrument has been successfully tested during December 2011 and the first half of January 2012. The successful tests triggered the decision to transfer HARPS-N to La Palma, where it will finally be installed and operated on the italian Telescopio Nazionale Galileo (TNG).
The rails and part of the instrument will leave in a container by February 8th, 2012. The rest will follow on February 24th, 2012.
